You could be right, davey has got form for that, but that Lyon game was like a training game for wham, they didn’t need to get out of second gear all night - hopefully still full of beans after the easy win and performance to batter Burnley.

Trying to work out the logic, surely Dyche is a guy you want in a scrap?

The only explanation I can think of is that a reasonable estimate for us would be 9 more points (four home games and two nickable always) and that leaves them needing 13 to tie. So they need wins rather than their trademark draws, and maybe they don’t think Dyche can change the mentality to what they need.
