Interesting reading the Burnley forums today.

There seems to be a near-universal feeling that they're gone. I'm fairly surprised that hope seems to have vanished so completely for them.

Either that's a sign that they really are that bad, or it's a sign that they aren't going to get the positivity they need from the terraces when the going get tough. Both work to our advantage, I guess.

That makes the weekend's results seem even more important to me in hindsight.

Could argue that was same in here though when we lost to them then we went on and beat United. We're not out of the woods yet. If we turn up like we did against United and string two wins together by beating Leicester at Goodison and Burnley lose then I'll relax.

It's only natural after losing to a rival, especially the bottom team. But it all changes with one result - like we saw with ourselves. If they win at the weekend, they pile the pressure back onto us.

I think we will show up at home vs Leicester and the very least will get a draw. I can't see Burnley doing anything against West Ham, if anything, they are going to get crushed. We live another week at 17 going up 5 or 7 points ahead of Burnley.
If we win and they lose the next round of fixtures, it's going to be very hard for them to get back into it. We'd have 7 points on them with 7 games to play. They've only won 4 games all season. However, we'd still need a couple more wins to ensure safety and pressure will be back on us if we fail to register anything against the RS and Chelsea.

It's not beyond the realms of possibility that they fail to gain more than 4 points the rest of this season. I suppose the same could be said for us as well though!

This is my worry. Burnley will beat Newcastle on the last day and we will lose to Arsenal. Both likely results I would say.

Means we have to match Burnley for points in the next 7 games, and they have the easier fixtures..Going to be tough yet.

Leeds aren't out of the woods yet you know. Yes they're five points clear of us but they've also played two games more then us and Burnley. Their next four games are Crystal Palace away, Man City at home, Arsenal away and Chelsea at home. Sure their last home game against Brighton is very winnable but they then have Brentford away on the last day who would love to celebrate staying up themselves while sending some else down! They also have an utter atrocious goal difference. I'm not saying that they will end up going down but I am saying that if people can just dismiss our four point lead on Burnley then we can do the same about Leeds. This is far from over.

If we beat Leicester we could be 2pts behind Leeds and they have 4 very hard games.
