Is it correct Watford have lost their last 9 at home ? If so that's one we need to pick up something.
Yes last win the 4-1 at home in November, they have only taken 4 other points at home - 3 of them were the 1st day v Villa with a draw v The toon a month later, Basically just that Man Utd win since September are the only points at home

Leeds aren't out of the woods yet you know. Yes they're five points clear of us but they've also played two games more then us and Burnley. Their next four games are Crystal Palace away, Man City at home, Arsenal away and Chelsea at home. Sure their last home game against Brighton is very winnable but they then have Brentford away on the last day who would love to celebrate staying up themselves while sending some else down! They also have an utter atrocious goal difference. I'm not saying that they will end up going down but I am saying that if people can just dismiss our four point lead on Burnley then we can do the same about Leeds. This is far from over.

Leeds are safe as houses Burnley have won 4 games out of 30, they'd need to win 4 out of 8 and Leeds would need to get less than 4 points to go down.

They were safe as soon as Norwich beat Burnley, not to mention they just got 10 points from 4 games what's the chances of them losing every game?

Nah they are safe now. Burnley need 3 wins just to draw level with them, and they won't lose 7 on the spin. We are going to finish 17th or 18th.

Palace (A)
Man City (H)
Arsenal (A)
Chelsea (H)
Brighton (H)
Brentford (A)

Certainly not an easy set of fixtures. Even if they stay up (which I think they will) It would be great to have them dragged into it over the next few weeks.

This on the beach thing doesn't always work either. Yeah, you get teams like Southampton who tend to finish poorly every year. But there were plenty of seasons where we started poorly, and then finished strongly and won unexpected games when there was no pressure. The lack of pressure and expectation helps some teams, but has the opposite effect on others.

it doesn’t necessarily work that way

say if we dont win the “winnable games”?

liverpool away
chelsea home
arsenal away

i don’t fancy them

rather burnley’s fixtures

I'm not being horrible mate, but looking at Arsenal that is not a write off, and neither is Chelsea at home. I'd go as far as to say, with our home form, I'd expect us to win that 1.

You don’t think this current team that’s on for a quadruple is as good as their team that finished about 4th?

I just think they play differently. Defensively they’re far better that’s for certain, and they’ve got far more nouse about them.

That 17/18 team though could rip City for three or four goals in the blink of an eye. We were facing them with Cuco Martina Williams Jagielka and Kenny in a back 4, Davies and Siggurdson plodding round in midfield, a young DCL just running aimlessly upfront.

Now this Liverpool team have a different sort of threat. If you sit deeper they’re unlikely to rip you open. If you can avoid conceding set pieces or giving a pen away then a Jota header or wonder goal is probably the most likely option. We’ve also got more about us all over the pitch (despite our league position) than that 17/18 team with probably only Gueye making it into this 11 from that one.

So my point is if that 17/18 team can get a point from Anfield then there’s no reason why this team can’t.

I think only Bayern have scored more than Liverpool this season from any of the major leagues in Europe. I’ve no idea what makes you think they are a penalty and set piece team. We sat deep against them at Goodison - they ripped us open and scored 4.

We can get a point but I won’t hold my breath.
