Ideally we could do with another team getting dragged right into it. We’re currently slight favourites to stay up, but it’s not beyond the realms of possibility that one or both of Watford and Burnley string a couple of wins together and leapfrog us.

Unlikely given their form up to this point in the season, but we’ve seen teams go on mad runs towards the end of the season to get themselves out of trouble before.

Think Wigan did it a few years on the run under Martinez when they were all but dead and buried.

Would ideally like us to just win enough games that we don’t have to worry about other teams, but, Everton aren’t we.

Dangerous way of thinking. Some teams play better when relaxed and not under pressure to get results. Palace and leicester played each other yest and their form going into it was pretty good.

Besides, we're Everton. Virtualy nothing runs like you think it will with this club.
 
Reckon 35 points will be enough to stay up, so 7 more required from us. Beat Leicester and I’ll actually believe it’s on, had us dead and buried post Burnley. As long as we don’t go into Arsenal away on the final day needing something, I’ll take this mess of a season with its many pitfalls.

Losing game as much as winning games becomes a habit and throwing 2 games would be idiotic and could cause a spiral of repeated losses. TBH I think Villa will beat them twice

A miracle tbh. Different beating a poor man utd side to getting a result at the RS. Shipping 3 at Burnley still scares the hell out of me considering how they havent hit the net at all in about the last 6 weeks.
Be nice mind if it did happen.
 

Burnley in my opinion still have a a much more on paper favorable fixture list, however as we saw yesterday against Norwich, they are awful and you never know when they're going to drop points when you expect them to win. It's just so typical that we were the team they beat when they previously couldn't find the back of the net. If we go down by a point or two that'll be the reason why, an unforgivable collapse. I think if we get 10 more points we're safe, anything less and it's incredibly touch and go.
