It's on Burnley now.
They HAVE to win to stay with us. See how they handle that pressure.

Even if they don't, they'll have opportunities to catch up. Would be a big blow for them though, and undo the work they did against us.It's on Burnley now.

We can only take it week by week. Hopefully they lose tomorrow.but that’s also relying on burnley losing 3 isn’t it?
I didn't. Go back and read it again.Quite possibly true, but you said 38pts won't be enough, which means you think they'll get at least that many.
So you think they're going to (at least) almost double their current points per game over the last 9?
We are definitely going down and we will get minus 4 points from the rest of the games unfortunatelyi thought watford, a week or so ago, were by far the best team down there? how is that one going?
You said they have loads of experience of getting out of situations like this .I wasn’t making the point, someone else was.
Correct.It's on Burnley now.

Cheer up mate we won today! We are definitely going down and we will get minus 4 points from the rest of the games unfortunately
Yes theyve been in the relegation zone well into the season on multiple occasions and escaped. I don’t need to look that up to know it, and no one can say it hasn’t happened eitherYou said they have loads of experience of getting out of situations like this .
Can you back that up
All games are winnable Dave, what you have to ask yourself is, are they games they are likely to win? When, like Burnley, you have only won a handful of games all season the answer is, there are probably no games they can expect to win. The same, of course, goes for us, but, unlike Burnley, we do have a habit of winning at home. It will be tight either way, but, if we can win 2 more, I think 34 points could well be enough.I believe their games are generally winnable compared to ours.
We effectively have 6 games left to get points in. Liverpool and Arsenal away we wont get anything.

I'm hoping we can get a draw at anfield at the very least. In a weird way i think's there's more pressure on them, because they're expected to just swat us aside with ease. The reality is that we have a lifeline again to safety. Nothing more than that.
I think we're going to have to win on the road and get a draw to go with another couple of home wins.
Then we'll just have to see if Burnley can match 38 points.
The Burnley defeat was damaging.
Sorry to add that sour note on a decent day for us, but we really need some exceptional results to make sure we're safe.
Let's hope Lampard's team talk at all our aways from here on in is " Sean Dyche said you lot don't know how to win away from home".I have a feeling we are not too far away from wins on the road.
The WHU and Burnley games really should have been converted into 4 points.
We're getting closer to winning on our away travels.
