They only played well for like 20 mins at the start of the second half, and conceded 4 goals. They are struggling defensively and have let in 3, 3 & 4 in their last 3 games.
I only watched the first 45 and thought they were good. Interceptions plenty, quick movement and 2-3 guys in front of de gea quite a few times. I agree they ship too many goalks against but before their production balanced it out nicely.

It's a shame Watford won. I thought we had a chance but by no means was I expecting a win. We're still in a huge mess and we could easily still go down. Hopefully as we have a bit of a gap, our gd is a bit better and we have a game in hand we have enough to stay up.

Honestly think you were watching the wrong game.
Not that Leeds will be going down but they were well beaten yesterday.
I disagree. It was a good, battling attitude and the minutes that I saw, Leeds were doing things to man u their wage bill shouldnt allow. The match report says it was 55% possesion for Leeds and 45% for Man u. 10 shots off target and 6 on target for Leeds vs 6 shots off target and 9 on target for man u clearly demonstrates Leeds was the top dog, or at least quite on par, with man united more clinical. Well beaten only in goals.

Where we are now has been six years in the making……….

Moshiri - The appointment of Benitez was the culmination of some awful footballing decisions, but for BMD he would be the focus of a whole lot more anger from the fans!
The board - Long term incompetence, they should have been replaced within 12 months of Moshiri buying the club!
Players - Terrible recruitment initially by Martinez, then doubled down on by the Koeman/ Walsh saga! Largely a bunch of characterless bottle jobs on ridiculous length expensive contracts who are happy go through the motions and not to play (in some cases!) to just pick up their over inflated wages packets!
Manager - Benitez was a shocking appointment which should never have happened, and is the final reason we are where we are today! If any one had said to me 10 years ago Everton FC would be managed by Allardyce and Benitez in the not too distant future I’d have laughed in their face!
Certain fans - Proper genuine fans only want what’s best for the football club, to see a degree of competence at board level, and see players who give their all on the pitch and actually want to play for the club and aren’t just perceived as a money grabbing mercenaries who go through the motions just to see their contracts out? People who in anyway “blame” the fans for the predicament we are in are way off target!
Correct.

I always say though that all roads lead to Moshiri. His hirings and his meddling with the playing side of the club has been catastrophic. Even the fans who have acted poorly did so because he ushered in a new era where we had fans thinking we could spend our way to a good team and sack any manager after 18 months if we didn't get success.

That's why the 27 minute protest group didn't scan for me: it is completely obvious that we need shut of Moshiri but they dodge that and prefer to point everywhere else as the source of our woes.

When I look at the fixtures, I can only see three or four wins at Goodison and almost nothing away.

That puts us on circa 34/35 points which is right on the border of safety / relegation.

We could do with grinding out a draw with City and Spurs. We simply have to start getting some points.

Personally think 34 pts this season is more than enough. To many teams still in it, up to the likes of Palace, who will all take points off each other.

‘Beaten only in goals’ ?

I’m hoping Hodgson is dour enough that they don’t have enough about them to stay up. It was annoying they beat Villa but Villa have looked poor recently. A few more and results and Watford might fold, just don’t want them getting on a run
