I agree its a danger, but I'm actually feeling more confident after that performance. It probably helps that expectations were so low to begin with. This wasn't Norwich at home, this was the best team on current form in their own backyard. They weren't conceding much either till that bullet header.

Everton looked compact and determined. Iwobi had a good game, as did Sidibe who looks a proper unit now. Michael Keane was reintroduced. Everyone fought and knew their roles. Set piece defending has improved. Good cameo from Moise Kean when he came on too.

Play to that standard and there will be results.

All that and we still lost.

Even if you take that performance as a positive, imagine how demoralising it’s gonna be on the players to put in a performance of that standard and still lose.

Do you believe this dullard Inept manager can raise their spirits after that?

Next game, the ground were we are usually made a mockery off. It’s about to get worse I’m afraid.

From all accounts, there's mixed messages from different members of the board. An interim manager may be the best option in the long-term, but the short term?

Oh please don't get me wrong, there is a lot of issues to fix and it will not be an easy job, however it's not the immense mountain some are making it out to be.

A new level of spirit and determination will be enough to change some results, so if we combine that with a better tactical manager we will be fine come May.

There is no spirit in this team, there hasn’t been for years. That’s a huge part of the problem. We have some absolute beauts in the squad who just can’t be arsed.

Yeah these players have a weak mentality we all see it. To lose like that yes was good performance against probably the second best team in the League at this point. But if your one of those players right now, your probably thinking doesn’t matter what we do we will still lose somehow. That’s just being human sadly.

I just don’t see who
Quality is a loose term, and I probably should have said a better manager. We may have to wait until the Summer for the most attractive names, but that's a big risk.

It would mean an intermin manager until the Summer, and that may not work and could cause other issues. The more acceptable names, some won't like.

They've played under Koeman who had the personality of a drab snail and no commitment to this club in the slightest, followed by Sam (urgh!) and Marco.

While I am not excusing them for their own faults as some are gutless, I do feel that many of these problems do filter down from the management above them.

Look at Lampard at Chelsea: he's moved in there and turned a squad that looked half-hearted and backstabbing, to one that wants to win.

Genuinely believe it's possible more than the Koeman season. Silva doesn't take all the blame here, players are absolutely spineless but silva is a bad mix of u lucky and a average to bad manager. We need to cut our losses now. I'd take Moyes over this rubbish that's how bad it is. Starting to worry for sure.

Exactly.

At best he is a very average manager, verging on downright bad.

But by ‘eck he is unlucky.

And that is a lethal combination.

We shouldn't be having a discussion about relegation. We are and it is a genuine fear.

We could recover from this, and eventually finish in a relatively comfortable position. But we might not.

I have worried for years that there would be a spiral of events in games and it's turning out like that, but the players are just so fragile and have no backbone of any sort.

We get the luck which our players and performances generally deserve, which is none.

All we have now is two chances to give the RS a kicking (cos we will lose by at least four on Wednesday..)

And maybe a home draw against some rank bad team in the FA Cup.

Championship here we come. Where there's no VAR

We have 14 points after 14 games!! This is relegation form.

By the way in Moyes 17th position season, we had 13 points after 14 games.

It'll take us down if we don't act now. A new manager, fresh luck and the new manager bounce could see a draw against the RS and help turn the season round. Board need to act now even if it is Moyes to the end of the season. The Silva experiment isn't working, time to end it.
