Relegation Thread 25-26

50 points is the max this squad can produce imo unless 2-3 really good players are signed in January.

Already Gana is out for one match and defence is being cut through no problem so him not being around for most of December and some of January is a short term issue that will result in plenty of points being lost.

Will be like 23/24 I think. Winning games when needed but not enough to push further on although of course ridiculous points deductions were an added factor then.

We've seen it a bit already this year. When bottom 3 was closing in just went out and beat Palace and Fulham so would be astounded if we get to April and there's any serious threat of relegation.

We were last seasons draw specialists with 15. Arsenal and Palace with 14 respectively.

We're 13 games in and Palace lead the league in draws with 5 so far. The way the league is looking, I don't see so many draws happening like last season. It appears the mini divisions in the league between 6th and 16th are nothing like as vast as previous. Total league points might set a record.

Let’s just see where we are after AFCON shall we?

We’ve already had a taste of what happens to our midfield without Gana Gueye. Just a month to go until we find out that Ward-Prowse too slow to take over from him.

I don't see us being anywhere near relegation but may fall short of European places, languishing in midtable mediocrity.

After the last few years I'll take that happily but still hold out hope of sneaking into ECL or EL... was down to 8th place last year wasn't it?

i think we can say with 80% degree of certainty that we will finish above wolves

i would be suprised if we don't finish above Burnley

the last relegation spot will probably be taken by Leeds however if they change manager soon and make signings in January they may make it competitive

i think us, west ham, fulham and forest have strong enough squads to stay up this season. West Ham have improved under Nuno, Dyche is slowly getting Forest points and Marco Silva's Fulham are normally tough to beat at home.
