Relegation Thread 25-26

Yeah, the Friedkins will be very slow to act. I reckon they will make the change in May and all parties are probably aware of that to some extent. Moyes probably knows he needs top half to stay on. They'd probably extend him if he got that as their main aim is to keep us in the division and perhaps improve incrementally. I don't see them as game-changing owners who will seriously back their manager to make the CL. At least not on the evidence to date.
They did sack club legend De Rossi four games into the season at Roma, though.

5 points from the RZ and 5 from Europe. The kind of mediocre the club is known for the past 30 years or so.

A couple of wins and we jump into the top half but I can't see us doing much better than that this season now.

We look poor tbh. Would take 14th now with this squad and hope for better in the next summer transfer window

The top 10 is far, far more competitive than it was last year, every single team above us strengthed in areas they already had strength in, we however - bought another striker to 'take a chance on', the longer i support everton the more i come to hate the scouting department and remain convinced its a single person for the last 30+ years making the same mistakes.

I see nothing in our play (Ndiaye, Grealish aside) that makes us remotely attractive to watch or join as a team.

Presuming Senegal make it to the AFCON final, Ndiaye (and Gana) will miss:

Arsenal (H)
Burnley (A)
Forest (A)
Brentford (H)
Wolves (H)
Villa (A)

Those 4 games in-between Arsenal and Villa are against teams who will be bottom half fodder imo. It's imperative we find a solution with Ndiaye away in particular otherwise we could be playing with fire around that period. We have to remember as fans that we're not feared as a club and will be seen as beatable in so called 6 pointers.

Yeah when people were fearing Luton Town going on a 10 game winning streak, correct. Not every scenario is binary, the promoted teams are a lot better this season so being concerned is completely valid at this moment in time.
Nah, Leeds are honkin. Burnley not much better.

I’m hoping it’s Wolves Burnley Leeds and the sooner it becomes more apparent the better.

I just think the players at West Ham and Forest have too much quality and Fulham and Newcastle are far too good to be dragged into it.

Of the rest of those mid table teams we look the worst.

I remember people saying this about Leicester, who I felt were better than most of those sides mentioned. I really wouldn't sleep on Forest and especially West Ham (see their run of fixtures post Burnley).

We have had a tough start, 2 of the top 3, probably 6 of a likely top 10, and we have more points on a game by games comparison to last season, and also after the same games. So we are trending for better than 48 points.

We are as near to 6th as we are 18th, so I don't really understand why we have the thread, and honestly I don't see it as much of a concern.

I think Leeds fixtures turn too. It will be interesting if they keep their run rate going, or if they start to fall away as Leicester did last season.

I think we're looking at 4 points from the next 4 games and dropping a place or two in the table.

Three of them have to come from Fulham, btw. If we dont beat Fulham it'll be worse.

Even in that latter scenario though it's inconceivable we'll be relegated.

Relegation is not something we as a club will have to face while we have this ownership in place. That's what it looks like to me in any case.
