Relegation Thread 25-26

It's possibly a contender for the best team to ever go down. Just a perfect storm of players running their contracts down and things not quite going their way. Just imagine if Pickford hadn't saved that penalty, or if Castagne scored that chance against the barcodes. Absolute nightmare fuel.
I can't unsee the double save off the post vs chelsea.

I've been saying it for a while now, Bournemouth, Brighton and Brentford have all been lauded for being perfect examples of how to run a PL club and be successful. But all three of them are selling clubs, and 1-2 bad transfer windows or wrong managerial appointment away from relegation.

I don't think it will happen this year, but within the next 3 at least one of them goes down imo. They have all peaked in the pl and have rebuilding jobs to come soon.
Love how all those clubs Brentford, Bournemouth, etc finished above us 2-3 times in their whole history and suddenly thought they were Real Madrid!!

I look forward to Brightons demise particularly!

The list is much longer. Wolves, West Ham, Newcastle and on it will go. All will get relegated again before we ever get relegated. No matter how crap we are.

you can sense that the west ham board are in panick mode

i've seen them linked to about 20-30 crap players in the last 2 days

I think they’re almost gone. It’s like a perfect storm over there (the type we used to be involved in). Best players getting injured, fan revolt, revolving door of managers, no pace anywhere in the team.

I thought Leeds would go with Burnley and Wolves but they’ve suddenly picked up and they look like they’re up for the fight whereas West Ham just look like they’ve given up.

It’s a bit similar to when Leicester went down. Their fans were so apathetic to the board they just gave up in the run in and were rounding on players and the board. Everton fans were doing bus welcomes and creating unbelievable atmospheres two seasons in a row when we had much worse players than Leicester.

The really reason we didn't go down is because of the Stop Oil legend, and it couldn't be better

West Ham’s crap stadium is a huge factor

You can’t really create a hostile and intimidating atmosphere needed for survival in that stadium which is why West Ham have such a poor home record

We had some crap results at goodison park but when we needed a result like the Bournemouth game or the palace game then having a stadium capable of creating that type of atmosphere is so important
