Exactly.I still think this is an interesting thread, just that we aren't actively involved in it this year.
Thread should be in 'world football' not the 'Everton' forum.

to be honest, the table isn't too much different to what it has been in recent years, just that we are in that middle pack this time. The only things making this traumatic are:
a) the extreme competitiveness in the middle of the league
b) how many points it looks like it will take to survive. The last two years the 18th place teams finished with 25 and 26 points. No way that happens this season. If West Ham win 1-0 tomorrow, they’re on pace to get relegated with 38 points.

Compare MW 14 standings year on year....
1st place Liverpool (35pts) and right now Arsenal (33pts).
2nd place typically 5-7 points behind, Chelsea last year (28pts) and City this year (28pts)
5th-13th place last year was split only by 4 points and this year it's 5th-14th.
The only difference is this year is that the bottom 3 (aside from Wolves) can prove they can win a game or 2. Last year Ipswich (1), Wolves (2) and Southampton (1) were the bottom 3. Leicester joined the relegation 3 having won 3 games at this point in the season, which was the same as us.
The next 4-5 weeks are going to be telling and by the 1st/2nd week in January, we will likely know a lot better. This will not include us.
Wolves will do well to get over 20 points... clearly not getting anywhere near that right now.
Burnley, I will be surprised if they get over 30 points.
I would fully expect that final place to be back up to the 35-40 point mark and at the moment will involve Leeds, Wham and the RS.
Why is it good news if he is out? I want as many teams as possible to finish above our unloveable neighbours. Including us.Reminded me of the 3-1 win over Chelsea just after Silva was sacked. Similar type of performance from Leeds.
Kind of feel they'll do enough to stay up as they have got lucky getting Palace at home in a few weeks 48 hours after they play in Europa. And second half of the season they have Wolves and Burnley at home so decent run of games at Elland Road from January onwards which is usually critical in tight relegation battles.
Caciedo out is good news aswell, Chelsea half the team without him in midfield.
We can only dream.to be honest, the table isn't too much different to what it has been in recent years, just that we are in that middle pack this time.

Looking over your shoulder is an Everton habit of recent years.
10 point gap can stay.
