Couple of wins and this thread can be silenced again thankfully. Way too early to be talking about relegation battles.

Nothing wrong with chatting about relegation battles, but surely the thread belongs in 'world football' rather than the 'Everton' forum.*

We should be targeting Europe with what we have. Apart from a regular slotter we have a lot of class in the squad now.

I think we have a top 8 squad.

I agree for the most part but top 10 seems fair

Oh… that’s how a typical draw looks like now? Wonder how typical Everton loss will look like…

It's a week to week league. Tottenham were terrible against Chelsea yet the latter got turned over at home by Sunderland the week before.

My point being I wouldnt panic losing 3-0 at home to Tottenham as it wasn't like Everton got battered. Everton played ok just didn't chances at key times and conceded cheap set piece goals which was uncharacteristic for this team.

With Branthwaite out long term, no competent striker and a lack of specialist full backs, I’d be happy with around 14th.

It's fair to me too. No complaints if we get that.

I love Dave's posts generally but top 8 is far too unrealistic an expectation with how the squad is looking. Add a good CF and a decent RB and yes it would be possible but they didn't.

Currently the back line has 3 fit CBs and they're playing every minute. Current back ups for J O'B are Seamus, always injured and not rated Patterson and then I'm guessing Garner who has also played at LB this season when Myko hasn't been around.

They'll be some make shift backlines in December I think and also going to lose Gana and Ndiaye for a month in that period so this is why it is crucial to get a couple of wins in next few weeks. Fulham, Newcastle and Forest the next 3 home games so can't be messing those games up imo.

In fairness to Keane, he`s been one of our most dependable players this season and barely put a foot wrong. ( this is something I thought I`d never write by the way ).

Our problems, as many have said, is that teams have completely worked us out, double up on Jack and Illy and that`s pretty much our attack nullified.

Moyes needs to work a way to mix things up and bring others into the game, not just Jack and Illy.
