Relegation Thread 25-26

A couple of wins changes a lot quickly. I just don't think we are playing well enough consistently enough for that to happen.

Even when we play well, it's for the odd 30 minutes or a half. This season we have not put full matches together. Even the Brighton and Palace wins we had to ride our luck before having better second halfs.

Until I see us playing better then I'm going to be concerned, because I don't think the players we signed were good signings.

3 of those we’ve not seen enough to know yet

barry/rohl/dibling

they will have a ROHL to play ;)

For the money they cost, they should have been immediate upgrades to the starting 11.

We aren't in a position to sign players for 2 or 3 years down the line unless the fee is very low. Our expensive signings need to be first team starters.

Who on earth thought we'd upgrade the league finish by bringing in £300k a week Grealish yet opting against also bringing in a real striker?

Then £35m on a young winger when you've got the manager complaining about 'only' having had £30m to spend on Barry?

And how are people employed by the club and not ensuring at least one starting full back was brought in?

If the money wasn't there, would sooner have kept Doucoure and used that £25m on a flying right back — Wesley who ended at Roma.

What would be worse? Wesley starting right back and Doucoure being a squad player challenging Alcaraz for a start, or O'Brien playing right back all season and Dewsbury-Hall at number 10?

Loads of money was spent - completely recklessly as per usual at Everton.

It didn't feel like there was a plan.
Apart from 'sign young players for the future'
They went all in on right back as first signing, didn't get Tete and then didn't bother signing one at all.
It was either a priority or it wasn't.
And no point Moyes moaning about Beto.
He worked with him for 5 months and then signed a kid who isn't at this level (yet).
We make everything so hard.
Bournemouth lost their entire defence, 2nd in league.

They won’t go down and neither player will be joining Everton.

what because they’ve won their first home game since february in what is turning out to possibly be the tighest premier league in recent memory , perhaps ever?

theyre still crap with a fanbase ready to turn on them at a moments notice, they can deffo go down. dreams do come true
