Agreed. I'd started to pull away this season after deciding that that stress/joy ratio wasn't worth negative health impact. Then the points deduction anger dragged me back in. We won a few games too and I started to enjoy it a bit but this latest news is utterly deflating. What's the point? Why should I deliberately make my life worse?

I was exactly the same but I started pulling away earlier, after the Benitez appointment. I thought I was out but then, like you, the indignation of the points deduction sucked me back in. Not sure where I am now, but the distance between the club and I is about as great as it has ever been and I guess the next few weeks and months will tell me. It's sad, really, it used to be such a huge part of my life and I really enjoyed it but spending thousands of pounds to be miserable seems like a sickness!

Everton and Luton BOTH into the next round of the FA Cup… AND THEY’RE PLAYING EACH OTHER!!!!! Forest and Sheffield United also through into the next round!

@davek what implications does this have on the relegation battle? Burnley safe and everyone else DOWN?!?

I think our season will largely depend on what happens in our last two fixtures in April and the first two in May. We play the teams around us there in four consecutive games with three of those being at home.

I think if get 7-9 points from the 12 available we will be fine even if the worst happens at these hearings. Anything less than 7 and I think we might be resting our hopes on getting points back to lift us away from it

This season is going to be like a game of snakes and ladders until the end and probably beyond. We could end up mid table or in the Championship. Just accumulate as many points as possible and wait for the solicitors and accountants to decide where we finish

All we can do as a club and as a fanbase is keep fighting this until the very bitter end and hope our good performances on the pitch continue.

Even with another 10 point deduction we would still probably stay up, such is the lack of quality in the bottom six this year.
