Sorry mate, I can see this points deduction taking us down this season.

It was always an impossible task for a team that's averaged 37.5 points in the last two seasons to get approaching 50 points to survive this season.

This season looks like catching up with us.

It won’t, you’re acting like we’ve only won 2-3 games, we’ve won 8. There’s half a season to rack up a similar amount to comfortably stay up even if we only get a portion of points back

Why do you even support Everton. All you ever do is spout negative crap. The last 2 seasons are irrelevant when we look such a better team. And there’s absolutely no chance you need 37 points this season to stay up.

La-La land? You were first in line to La-La Land the last two seasons swearing up and down we were going to get relegated and we managed to stay up. I’ll wait until we are in the bottom 3 and it is mathematically impossible to stay up.

No positives from today but those arrogant and cocky saying "we will be sound" need to wake up, we aren`t getting nothing from the next 4 games.

Get both sides some over confident and some far too negative. Will it be tough yes, could get points back maybe. I am on the fence i still think we can do it will be hard, just bs from them scumbags in this league who thinks this is fair

Feels like there's results to be had in most games in the league this season, we just need to turn around the attitude and sharpness from today.

It's also worth bearing in mind as poor as this has been it's our first genuine shocker since Villa away and that was August.

Right. Half of the season including a QF cup run. 8W 2D 10L in the league, 11-2-11 overall, +11 pts vs last year, and yeah although not being able to find another goal in some of those losses is an indictment, this is one of 2 games out of 24 where we never looked like winning.

Especially for the last fixture of the festive period with our catalyst out, I can’t be too upset. The manager got it all wrong today but he’s been fantastic. Call it a bad day at the office & move on.

If you’d have said to me when the points deduction happened (and especially when we went 5 adrift after the United game) that we’d be out the bottom 3 by the end of the year, I wouldn’t have believed it. Last couple of weeks have been disappointing and there’s a long way to go but we’ve done OK.

There are 4 relegation candidates and we're one of them.

That's where we are until we can prove otherwise.

I have to say I don't see depth to this squad and I fear for us this season.

If someone told me right now that Dooucoure plays 16/17 of the remaining games I;d be prepared to say we'll likely get clear of danger. But Doucoure's spell out already leaves me doubtful about that possibility.

Going through a really tricky period atm. N pretty consistent all season and arguably bound to go through a patch like this - which is why the 10 points deduction was always going to have massive impact.

Desperately could do with a few more bodies on loan in January that can step in for us when needed. Dreadful Christmas period.

That was our first real poor performance in 7 league games.
And still after a 10 point deduction we ain't in the bottom 3. We have got 26 points on the pitch. More then 8 other teams . There is a chance we get points back. Use yer own heads lads on how we will do. Don't be listening to Cranks , wums and complete bell ends.
