In the grand scheme of things, you would think that Luton and Sheffield United probably won’t make 30 points. They might, but you would think that if they do it won’t be by much.

The outlier is probably Burnley because they showed they are capable of putting a run together last season, and seem to have more quality than the other two who got promoted with them. But 7 points from 14 is a terrible return for them.

Because we’ve been fleeced of 10 points, someone like Burnley now only need to get 28 points from the remaining 24 games to leave us needing to have a season were we have to attain 45 points (on the pitch) to stay up. It’s a big ask, we are capable but we need to not go in a Lampard/Benitez esque spiral of losing games now, we need to start picking up points asap.

I agree with the end game. If we get to 45 points on the pitch we stay up

Luton should get over 20 points. They've got enough spirit about them and been involved in loads of tight games since August.

They could win another five home games. Do that and they'll be on 24 points without adding in draws like they got at Forest from 2-0 down. There's no way you'd just dismiss them beating Bournemouth, Forest, Sheffield United at home anyway and they could get a shock win at some stage like they nearly did over RS.

Game at Kenilworth road at end of season going to be monumental for both teams.

No chance for Sheffield United, they'll probably just about get more than Derby did.
