I bet there's a price someone would have paid. How? No one wanted him??
Point is you can't "replace" the guy you still have.

In a vacuum yes. A club with limited money and no ability to guarantee anyone half decent games will have a much tougher time.Of course you can, what an absurd suggestion.

So you can replace someone who you still have then.In a vacuum yes. A club with limited money and no ability to guarantee anyone half decent games will have a much tougher time.
I agree our goalscoring record is really really poor, and not scoring enough goals is usually a big factor in most teams being relegated. It’s very worrying. The trouble is, we simply do not look like scoring. Since Christmas, we've scored six goals in nine games - one penalty, three from set pieces, and two have been the result of individual brilliance. Apart from not having players who can score, we don't create chances. I pray that we will be safe but it looks to me like a very uphill task, given that we've already played most of the teams around us.
Yes it is becoming clear that if a semi competent striker had been signed it might have been quite comfortable for usI’ve said it before, if your at the bottom of the table you have to be able to score, because you cannot rely on not conceding. We have not got any goals in the forward line. It is because of this I think we will go down. I must admit although it is not Dyche’s fault I was surprised Simms did not get either a start on come on earlier for that “donkey”Maupay!
Agree, bmouth and Southampton are down I think. There might be another club that gets dragged in but it's a dog fight between us and LeedsLeeds.
We need to catch, overhaul and stay in front of Leeds to survive this year.
It’s all about Leeds.
Leeds.

To whom? He already plays for Everton and we are currently the only club who would think it's a good idea to sign a centre forward who's never fit. They should have sold Dom if they were trying to replace him.
We create chances, and in my humble opinion there were enough chances in the first half to make me believe a competent forward would have put us ahead.I agree our goalscoring record is really really poor, and not scoring enough goals is usually a big factor in most teams being relegated. However, the two bits in bold are what I disagree with. Yes, we’re going to need to grind out results for the rest of the season and try and nick goals from set-pieces, but personally I think we’ve looked better at attacking under Dyche.
Against Arsenal, we created the better clear cut chances, and probably should have scored two in the first-half from open play while it was 0-0. In the derby, we hit the post and Davies missed a header, and we missed a hatful of chances against Leeds. Even today, Onana missed a header, so did Maupay with almost an open goal, we had one cleared off the line in the second half. Tarkowski missed a header, Maupay did one of his ‘pass-back’ shots when he could have scored, and McNeil probably could have scored too but he was on his wrong foot. I thought we also had just as much a case for a penalty as theirs that wasn’t given. So the chances are being created, the problem is there just aren't goals in the team. We were the better team today and were competitive until they scored, then it was game over
I think we had a few, Maupay stuck a free header wide with the keeper nowhere, and had another good chance were he just passed it back into Martinez's hands
Not for me think it’s Southampton Bournemouth Everton or Forest going. If we can get above forest we will be safe in my opinion.Leeds.
