I said as much after our defeat to Chelsea at the start of the season. That it would prove to be a very underwhelming result. This Chelsea side was gonna drop a lot of silly points to mid table dross this season especially away from home.

Yep Chelsea went straight after and lost 3-0 at Leeds and should've lost about 4-1 to Southampton. Following on from their mediocre form end of last season so they're the last "big" club to trust in the run in at taking wins off relegation threatened teams tbh. Not even convinced Potter will make it to the final game.

I’m hoping we can build off the point at Man City and knock ManU out of the cup. If so I think we can stave off a relegation battle. If we can’t though I’m afraid we sign one of the Sams to keep us up. But I do believe either way we will stay up

Last season 2 of the worst 3 defensive records went down
in 2019 /2020 3 of the worst 4 defensive records went down
We're currently on course to score around 28 goals and while our defence is decent it's goals that keep you in the league. Last time a team stayed up with that amount was 6 seasons ago and its only happened once in the last 10 seasons. It was Huddersfield who then went down the following season for what it's worth. Goals keep you in this league more important than defence.

Both are important. If you concede a shed load you go also .

While there is certainly a point where bad defense gets you relegated too, inability to score is a strong predictor of relegation. The 5 lowest scoring teams are currently in the bottom 5 spots. The 5 teams allowing the most goals are dispursed in the bottom half of the table.

Of course but I'd argue goals are more important. Seen a good number of teams concede loads but because they can score too they stay up, whereas the opposite doesn't happen as much - as I pointed out its only happened once in 10 seasons where a team has scored less than 30 goals and stayed up (we're on course for 28GF as it stands). Leeds and Burnley last season are a good example of it actually. Burnley conceded 26 less goals than Leeds but still went down. We need goals ASAP. Even a player who can come in and give us 5-8 extra goals will make a big difference.

Ripped to shreds by Bournemouth and Brighton. Got to go.

No idea who replaces him and it doesn’t really matter. This is by far the worst team in the division and deserves to drop.

The board should be ashamed for starting the decline by appointing the Waiter. Never has so much money been spent so badly. This might not stop in the Championship.
