Because they don’t have a choice, especially if Dominic Calvert-Lewin is out for a while. It has to be two forward signings minimum, one wide one up top
Do we actually have any money to spend?? Last Summer surprised nearly all of us due to the volume of players brought in. There were quite a few who felt we'd bought on the basis of the Keane money and Juventus are nowhere near guaranteed to finish top 4 so he might end up coming back.

I'm not convinced that we have anything to spend and I don't see much to sell to generate funds. Gordon won't be attracting £60m buds for sure.

We could drop further tomorrow if either Villa or Southampton win, then we have two trips to Bournemouth who look like they could easily outscore us on their own pitch, so I expect a defeat in 1 of them games.

Kean and Juve have an obligation to buy anyway

I think we do have the wiggle room but we also have 2 loan spots to use as well

We have loan spots, yes, and we need to utilize them effectively. I understood that Juve only had an obligation to buy Kean if they reached certain sporting objectives which was commonly thought to be ECL qualification. Whatever the truth of the obligation is, we need the money.

They could fire him. Give the money to someone else. Nice bloke obviously but he hasn’t produced at all.
They could fire him but do we as a fan base want another spin so soon on the managerial merry-go-round?

Personally, I’d give FL more time not unlimited time but some more time as I think he’s earned some wiggle room.

How should we approach the EFL game Wednesday? Absolutely zero chance of winning the competition unless we win every round on penalties so play a second eleven Wednesday, if we can scrape one together, and go all in Saturday would be my choice as 3 points is desperately needed

Wolves have their new manager for his first game when we play them Boxing Day. That fixture becomes much more difficult with the new manager bounce.

It will be his first game but I don't see the Lopetegui thing working tbh, he is quite defensive and I'm just not sure if it will work there. Wolves looked like a proper team when they got promoted a few years ago and they offered a threat to anyone whereas now they are pretty rubbish.

We have to.play our best team, we can't lose that, with a 6 week lay off coming rest nobody

Let's face it, we're not one of the beloved Sky 6. Their excess coverage = more global fans = more money = even more coverage and pretty much guarantees that they will never be relegated. Just like the other 14 teams, we don't have the buffer of unlimited riches and will eventually make one too many bad decisions (manager, players, owner?) and be relegated (it's a probability thing). Since the Premier League started we've managed to survive for nearly 30 years, which ain't bad going. We need to be more 'zen' and stop railing against the inevitible, it's too draining.
Now I'm off to study our remaing fixtures in a desperate attempt to work out where we can get another 26 points from!
