That's horrific, 4 points ahead of forest, Bournemouth next week can leap us, Villa have a top new manager....

Fine line. If we win that today then it’s a pretty solid/average first part of the season and everyone is pretty happy.

Losing like we did turns it into a poor first part of the campaign and really emphasizes the glaring gaps in our squad.

I do genuinely think that our entire front line isn’t good enough (or in dcl’s case / can’t be trusted to stay fit).

None of McNeill/Gordon/grey are good enough for a premier league team with any aspirations of not being right in trouble imo.

Last year we had richarlison who had the potential to be top class on his day, and even when he wasn’t on it could get us over the line by sheer force of personality sometimes.

I do worry about us in the second half of the season if we don’t get quality attacking reinforcements through the door.

Either way - I had hoped Lampard might have moved us a bit further forward this year. I can see he has bought sturdy centre backs in but can’t really see what he has brought to the table to make us any more of an attacking threat than we were under benitez.

Just accept now that it is another survival season and we are going to go through a lot of stress and anxiety.

We are not good enough in attack and we dont win enough at home. Our mentality still absolutely stinks as well. One good performance and they all think they are brilliant and you can be sure they won't back it up.

We are a bad football team and have truly dreadful attackers. That equals a relegation battle.

If we lose next week, then its going to be a very uncomfortable 6 weeks of waiting.

We need to spend in January. I think we will and we will be fine but we have the worst attacking options in the league. just wish we got Kudus in the summer he would have made a massive difference.

Forward line who can’t score.
A midfield who can’t supply the forwards and give the ball away far too easily.
A defence who are pretty solid but just allow the opposition to dictate the play.
Overall a team who wait to see what the other side do and try to defend, give them numerous chances on goal and usually about 10 corners.
Really pathetic today in front of a home crowd.

In all these years supporting Everton I've never known an Everton side make so many unforced errors in so many games.
This is my main concern. I wonder what they are doing at the training ground tbh.

Are they trying to do something too complicated? Or are the instructions not right.

The difference tonight was clear. Leicester seemed to breeze their way out from the back. Players knew where their teammates were. Players making runs and being found.

Our attempts either pass across the back/to the corners repeatedly trying to cross or playing through the middle.

The first option fails as McNeil can cross but runs out of space quickly. Gray pretty quick but delivery is very mixed.

Second option is not working due to errors as you mention. Many times tonight our players were visibly frustrated with eachother. Things not going to plan

We're even struggling to play a simple 10 yard pass mate.

No, we will sort out scoring some. Everton will not be relegated but this season will be up and down.
I think Everton is on the some level like last season, but last season Richarlison hit form at he right moment and saved us. So no Richarlison, no hope to stay up. At least not with Lampard at the helm. Im sure so Lampard wont be here to see us go down... At least not in the Everton dugout.
