No chance we go down but its not good enough right now.

What's the plan though? Everyone knows this club on average wins an away game every five months so by that basis might win another away game by next April. Or next week.

Games like tonight show it's very very dangerous to just rely on Goodison. Yes there's the special nights but that was very flat.

2 wins from first 7 home games is very average. Over a season that's only 5-6 home wins. Not going to stay up with that ratio unless something massively changes on the road.

Needed 9 home wins to stay up last season. Going by that need to win 7 of the last 12 home games just to match last season. Looks pretty scary when you write it down like that tbh.

If we get 2 attacks in January, easier said then done, as they have to click straight away. Then I believe we will finish between 12-15th. If we don’t then we are in big trouble and real possibility of going down. Burnley had good defence and every year they just survived. Then caught up to them. Need to score goals to win football matches. But honestly if they can’t bring players in that can do more than grey and Gordon, then we will get what we deserve.

My only glimmer of light from the current situation is this….

If we had say beat Leicester today and got say a point at Bournemouth then no way would the club give FL any sufficient funds in the January window to improve us and they’d go with what we have for the rest of the season

If we say lose both games then they’ll have no option but to roll the dice and get Frank the necessary reinforcements to help us survive as relegation is unthinkable especially with the new stadium on the way.

So what Im saying is this current painful situation, watching us struggle with our current attack might not be forever but could have been if we had fluked two decent results against Leicester & Bournemouth!

Ever cloud…..maybe….
