We'll be playing clubs with mostly nothing to play for.Still a huge ask. Essentially we are playing better sides than us from now until the end of the season. We’ll have to hope some are very much under par.

They have players who, on song, can hurt you: Watkins, Buendia, Coutinho.i'd be amazed if we beat Villa tomorrow, think they are currently stronger
This is my hope. I still make us one of the favourites for the drop (still think lack of goals and forward options may sink us), but hopefully soon we will be playing mid table clubs who are on the beach already. Good opportunity to turn a few of them overWe'll be playing clubs with mostly nothing to play for.![]()
If we win tomorrow I'll say we are one of the clubs in the bottom 7/8 LEAST likely to take the drop. This is my hope. Our two wins have been against Arsenal, when we had DCL for most of the game, and against Leeds, who were abysmal. If we beat Villa we will have some grounds for cautious optimism. If we win tomorrow I'll say we are one of the clubs in the bottom 7/8 LEAST likely to take the drop.
Think people are getting way to ahead of themselves, a win v Villa will off course help a lot, but we are still well and truly in it, some are acting as though we are not even in trouble, it only takes one surprise result from the others as in the way 3 or more results went differently last week to go bad for us. we still have to go to Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal, play Spurs and Cty at home to name a fewIf we win tomorrow I'll say we are one of the clubs in the bottom 7/8 LEAST likely to take the drop.

If we beat Villa to get to 24 points we'll need another 4 wins and a draw (maybe two) to stay up IMO.Think people are getting way to ahead of themselves, a win v Villa will off course help a lot, but we are still well and truly in it, some are acting as though we are not even in trouble, it only takes one surprise result from the others as in the way 3 or more results went differently last week to go bad for us. we still have to go to Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal, play Spurs and Cty at home to name a few
Agree happy with the defence a center mids just the attacking areas the team is weak. And with them having options i change the team from the bench. Just hope we can continue with the set pieces is a real threat now. They have players who, on song, can hurt you: Watkins, Buendia, Coutinho.
They either turn up and Villa are tough to beat or they dont and Villa look vulnerable.
Let's not build them up too much though - or talk us down too much for that matter.
I'd make them favourites to get a win, but only slightly. It wouldn't surprise me at all if we won it.
A draw is a good bet here IMO.
If we beat them though the rest of the league sits up and takes stock of what's going right again here at Everton after months of wallowing in our disarray.
Agree with you have to give credit to the manager for getting this out of the team. Have waited all season to see us finally have more than one shot a game. Is still nore work to be done to get us safe but a win on sat would be a massive step to itlol
Absolutely atrocious analysis.
If we beat Villa that'll mean we've beaten the top team, a relegation team, and a mid-table team...and with a mix of having a target man and not having a target man.
There's no talking some people down off the ledge it seems.
I think we will walk away with a point from ArsenalDone well to narrowly avoid the Leeds new manager bounce. Disappointing the way that Arsenal fixture has been squeezed in between Villa and Forest

Going to be touch and go me thinks. Just wish they had appointed him when we broke for the World Cup. We would be mid table now.I'm fine about our chances, put my neck on the line and say we'll stay up. i think they got the appointment right for once and Sean Dyche is going to prove to be more than a Sam Allardyce but safety comes first.
I’d say a draw or Forest. I also can’t see West Ham winning, even though it’s at home for them. What are we wanting out of West Ham/Forest? Draw I guess?
Agreed. Only to worry about ourselves at this point. Continue to produce results and watch our confidence slowly build.Lots of awkward fixtures this weekend, we need to concentrate on ourselves and get a win
