I just see the momentum and that's huge at this stage of the season.

Forest with their goals and decent recent form, Leeds with a new manager and working hard and nicking a point against a top side in Newcastle, and Everton who've just been brought well and truly down to earth after one great victory.

But you're of course absolutely correct and it's silly to go mass predicting things, but that that's what people do at this time of the season when they're panicking.

Liverpool for me is almost a guaranteed spanking of Leicester, and we have a chance to make us hot favourites to stay up if we can channel the spirit of Brighton when we come up against Wolves.
Well, for all of Big Sam's momentum, he has taken one point out of six. Dyche has taken three out of six from a similar level of opponent. Brighton have just thrashed Arsenal on their own patch. We annihilated them on theirs!

Points matter more than goal difference. Our heavier loss to City (on the scoresheet) is outweighed by our three points to Leeds's one. Our win at Brighton is our best in, arguably, 28 years. I think we have momentum.

But that guarantees nothing. We need to go to Wolves and perform. I wouldn't bet on us doing that, but the overall picture means there is still hope regardless - for now. Leicester could lose tonight. We still have a point advantage on Leeds. Even a point at Wolves could bring Forest into range with another draw. It's impossible to know.

Make no mistake: we deserve to be relegated. Anything that avoids that would be a huge bonus. The fact that we can still save ourselves is incredible, given the season we have had. An agonising two weeks ahead, but that's what Chairman Bill and his cronies have bequeathed us - without having the good manners to depart first.

The danger is if we don't beat Wolves and then Leeds beat West Ham then we're relying on Leeds and Forest's results last day.

The goal difference is only 9 between West Ham and Leeds (8 effectively because of goals scored). Leeds win by 2 goals then it's 4 going into the last day. West Ham won't want to go into the last day not mathematically safe.
But in that scenario if we don’t beat Wolves, West Ham will already be safe.

Given our preferred counter attacking tactics we may have a better chance of gaining 3 points against Wolves than home to Bournemouth.
Our recent home and away form supports this viewpoint. I don't think our brave heroes could handle going into the Bournemouth game needing to win at all costs. We need to be out of the bottom three at least, after the Wolves game.

Think we’ll all feel a lot better if Leicester lose tonight.

…too true. I think it’ll also be a huge boost to Dyche and the players.

I reckon he’ll be working lots on mind-set this week. Leeds & Forest will feel a little more positive after their results, Dyche will be getting into the players heads to lift them after a heavy defeat, albeit against City. Leicester getting beat will significantly help.

Mind-set could be key.

We need to just forget about yesterday and build on Brighton. We never had much chance against a title-chasing City.

Provided Leicester don’t win tonight then we simply have to match theirs and leeds results over a two game shootout. A cliche but if we can’t do that then probably shouldn’t stay up. Also got the safety net of clawing forest back if needed.

I think people are overestimating leeds and Allardyce. For them to go away…even to west ham and win would be a shock to me. Of course they might do it but the same chance as we have of doing the same thing.

If this season has taught us anything then everton don’t do things easy. It’ll go down to the final game …I just pray it’s still in our hands then.
