Big fees grease the way for work permits & €40m is a lot for a 17 year old (not complaining). My question is, If you take out of the equation what Flamengo demanded for Jesus, how little could the fee have been to qualify for exceptional talent etc to gain the permit? Could it be that €40m is the minimum?? I know each case is taken on its own merit but after the Onyekuru debacle it got me thinking that it might be easier just to overpay.
Overpaying for the sake of overpaying is meh. Do it for talents you believe will make you a big return.
Richarlison got a work permit for Watford so this kid is a cert as a special talent who is way beyond where Richie was at his age.
People saying it's just a youtube vid have a very valid point but they also have to remember one thing. He's not played in front of that many cameras, if you can create a package like that from those limited examples it quite remarkable.

Dan Meis is gonna have to re design the stadium and have palm trees and a massive Jesus statue coming out of the ocean if we keep signing all these sexy Brazilians.
