Referee Salaries

Just read that premier league referees earn £73k to £143k.
Now I appreciate that is a lot compared to many fans, but considering the “power” they hold and money involved in football it’s not huge.
Putting my tin hat on, at those salaries, it would easily lead them to be corruptible. Not they I would think that the premier league could be corrupt

It’s the large sums the Saudis pay our refs to officiate games over there that gets me.
How can they remain impartial when they are reffing games owned by the Saudi government in the Premier League?

Considering the quality of the job they do, it is a total waste of money ...
