Reduction In Wage Bill

So you are including people that have been off the wage bill for two years, people who haven't even left yet, people who left but are back on the wage bill, and are helpfully not including all the people who were here on loan and needing paying. Then you are assuming an average wage at up near the clubs limit for everyone going out (including those that sat on the bench), but at 35k for those coming in, two of at least are first team starters.

Possibly the reason you have come up with a 15m gap is because your calculations are arbitrary to say the least.

Also, please, for the sake of the club, would all of those he believe that there is something underhand going on with the accounts as is being continuously alluded to, please stand up and go to the police as it would be fraud. Either that or stop with the nudge nudge ****e, its as bad as Davek and his Kenny Moyes business.

What a ridiculous rant. None of the players I listed have been off the books for 2years.

The figures I've used were based on a rough average. Others on here agree that Cahill, Arteta, Pieenaar, Yak, Yobo and Saha as a minimum were all on or above 50k. They are round figures.

When Gibson signed in January, the wage listed in the press was 30k a week. Again as others have rightfully pointed out I did not include the transfer fees paid, which actually makes my 15M figure seem quite conservative.

My post was based on reasonable logic and was not implying anything other than, we shouldn't be so skint.

For the record, you don't have to be doing anything illegal in order to be mismanaging the club.

Pienaar wasn't off the books for the latter half of last season, and will remain on next. Yobo was paid by Fene for the last two years. Cahill hasn't even left yet. And you still aren't including paying people on loan. Exactly what period are you trying to examine? It can't be next year, we don't know what the wage bill is, it can't be last season, we paid Cahill all year and Pienaar Saha and Bily for at least half the season.

And yes, in order to be trying to hide stuff like interest on loans, directors payments or anything else controversial in operating costs, you do have to be breaking the law.

This place gets more like kipper each day.

They are only hidden from joe 1 share. They aren't hidden from auditors or the tax man. Tens of Millions could/is going out of the club through operating expenses on an annual basis. The best explanation was maintenance and lawnmowers. It's not illegal for them to do it, just despicable.

Out where?

If I knew that we wouldn't be talking about it. Last year Other operating expenses where itemised at £23.4m or thereabouts. That's a hell of a lot of dosh.

Despite the question being asked repeatedly, sometimes by bona fide share holders, no one has ever noffered up and kind of answer worth noting. Big Bob had a go at the 85p in the pound and said lawnmowers aren't cheap.

Money comes in; money isn't spent; debt never goes down.

It's that bad, even Neiler's failed to come up with a board-friendly explanation for the shenanigans at Everton.

We need a forensic examination of this club's finances. 'Other Operating Costs', constant figures for the debt; money brought forward from bridging loans from hole in the wall finance companies in the British Virgin Islands; directors owning shares bought by offshore trusts no one knows who controls.

Everton are run like a banana republic.

I cant wait until these carpet baggers are chased down the road.

The 1999 Kenwright takeover = Everton's worst nightmare comes true.

That attempt was an insult. He really winds me up that feller. Smug ****er.

Johnson was considered a failure.

He re-built the Park End and invested his own money into the Club.

But he sold the fans idol, so was hounded out.

Kenwrong is considered a hero.

Hes watched as Goodison has gone backwards, hes invested not a single penny into the Club.

Hes sold 2 fans idols and the best English talent of a generation.

And still they clap.

Just another paid face for the faceless, none of them bother me, even that Tyrell feller. They all behave according to a culture created at the top.

One day they will all be gone and I/WE will still be here.

As well as banking on a serf mentality amongst some, he's spent millions on hiring people to deflect criticism and present him in a good light, and he has very powerful friends who can twist arms in the media to back him and his regime at Evetton to the hilt.

He's as hard-nosed an operator as you'll find anywhere despite his 'heart of gold' image. He'll hang onto this club until he's got his big takeover that'll give him more money than he could ever get from his theatre production. He's going to squeeze this asset until it bleeds.

*clap, clap, clap*

Didn't the great chairman Johnson consider relocating Everton to Kirkby golf club ?

Apparently, he considred several sites. I wonder how he knew we needed a new ground all those years ago?

Also, I wonder why he never told his fellow board member Bill Kenwright?
