Redmond is a very very poor mans deulofeu...pacey and loves a few stepovers...but they only paid £2m and couldnt ask the earth for him.

At least he would be ours and we would have the chance to develop him for ourselves and not another club.

Id be happy enough to sign him and give the kid a proper chance. Houghton barely gave the lad a game

He's really come on in the last 12 months, looked an absolute class above last night.

For the right money he could be a cracking buy.

I'd rather Townsend any day of the week over Redmond. It's really essential you get goals out of wingers these days. We need someone better than mirallas and Redmond is not even fit to lace belg kev's boots!

I agree, right now Townsend is the better player, but Redmond is four years younger and with the right coaching could be the better player in the long run.
