I aint gonna fap myself silly over some lid scoring some superfootgols against some Welsh lids they plucked from the valleys.

I think he could be nurtured into a real player and I'd like that to be us. He'd take up Delfs place and I'd imagine him to prove as effective if not more so in that role. But I respect your views.

Could have had him for £2m last summer but the funds weren't there. We tried a loan deal.

yup, and it's not like he was unknown quantity last summer either. He was the one bright spot in the otherwise dismal performance from England at the U21 European Championship. And did I mention not only was he England's best player in the U21 squad last year but was also the youngest having just turned 19?

Needless to say, I was disappointed we didn't sign him last summer, but when you're skint, you're skint.
