Ihaters
Player Valuation: £35m
That's a bewildering and mystifying set of categories you use. You only have to see the word 'excellent' right next to McFadden's name to appreciate that.
Here's the more concise assessment:
Moyes did very well with signings in the lower end of the fee spectrum, but pretty hopeless with big money signings and signing of a lot of hopefuls for around the £1m to £2m mark.
Martinez did well with big cash layouts - including bringing in the best Everton forward for 20 odd years. The lower end of the spectrum where Moyes excelled Martinez was hit and miss, with signings like Kone and McGeady offsetting players like Deulofeu, Barry and Besic.
Koeman has got off to the worst start with flushing £25m down the toilet on Bolasie, Stekelenburg is a calamity but didn't cost much, I'd say the jury is out on Williams who for me has been underwhelming so far, and Guyee is the only one you could call a success.
Moyes never had a big money signing, biggest he had was Fellaini who cost around the same as most clubs near us spent on their 3rd or 4th most expensive players... and to be fair, big Mo was ace... and bought us a massive profit.
Ace enough in fact to survive multiple managers and still be part of United's setup despite them having truly world class players in their team.
Martinez had one actual big money signing and it was a good'un, very good in fact as he will win us games and eventually get his move for a tidy profit.
Koeman had one big money signing and he's not worth the money but still adds value to the squad but probs someone Moyes would of paid 7 or 8m tops for.
