Stayed at 62 Castle Street a few years back. Very nice indeed. Bit pricey though. This year we had just the one night in the Liner Hotel alongside Lime Street. It was nice too. Would stay there again. If you're a light sleeper, ask for a front room. You can 'just' hear the tannoy from the station. Didn't bother me or the missus but it might bother some.

Depends on your budget. Premier Inns are grand too. You know what you're getting and the beds are usually very comfy.

The Dolby down on the dock by the casino has always been a decent option for me for going the match, but it’s on the budget side. Stayed somewhere really nice in Sefton Park a couple of times, but can’t remember which one. Google is your friend though. ??

I always stay at the Mercure/Atlantic Tower. Most of the rooms have nice views of the city and river.

Just off Dale Street so loads of pubs.

Lots of decent food options that end of town.

Good breakfast in the hotel.

5 min walk to Liverpool One to get the wife out of your hair.
