The HTC One is absolutely phenomenal.

Regarding above post about battery life on HTCs, this one is completely fine. Lasts a full day with ease, had no problems at all, only runs down when doing heavy duty things like gaming etc. but that's true with any phone.

Stunning phone, the display is unbelievable, everything about it oozes class.

Only two downsides - no expandable memory (32GB on board though, well enough for a casual user) and it heats up a bit on occasion, but everything else is the best you can get - the sound is insanely good on it.

Currently the worlds best phone and to be honest the Samsung S4 and iPhone 5S are going to have to go some to beat it.

Honesty lids, get on it.

That and the new Sony phone, are the first two Android phones to offer excellent build quality. While not quite up there with Apple, they are at least making an effort to offer a premium handset for a change.

I think the HTC looks the dogs nuts, and I really hope it takes off.

The HTC One decimates the iPhone 5 in terms of looks and premium feel. It really is astonishing, it's the first time where I can actually safely say that Apple need to up their game markedly because another iPhone 4 clone release this time just won't cut the mustard. Too stale and, basically, too small.

I have the S3 and HTC One, and obviously had a look at iPhones, and the One feels easily the most quality in the hand. The S3 does feel really cheap by comparison because of the plastic; albeit being a very good phone.

That looks really good. Tbh the build of the HTC One X is very good, besides the screen flex issue which is minor. The only problem with it is the awful battery life. I downloaded a big update a week ago and all of the little bugs and stuff have more or less been completely ironed out.

Ok exaggerating there a little lol. I genuinely like the HTC One, but from an engineering point of view it's not had anything close to the attention to detail apple put into their designs, or manufacturing processes.

It's a big step in the right direction though

Maddison is a bad Apple whore tbh.
Just get some relatively new phone and you will be fine unless you get an iRipoff crap phone.

Have you held it yet? In person like? Every review site are hailing it as the one of, if not the best looking phones ever made. TechRadar, TechCrunch, ExpertReviews etc.

Apple haven't innovated the iPhone since the 4. That's the problem - the engineering you're talking about is years out of date.

They're indistinguishable; just a few modifications here or there.

If they come out with that again this year it won't sell with the public. There we murmurs of discontent with the iPhone 5 to be honest, and iOS is showing its age too.

Nope not held it, but i agree it is a stunning phone and probably the best looking phone on the market at the moment.

But, listen/ read and weap http://gizmodo.com/5949429/the-iphone-5s-impossible-design-comes-at-a-very-real-price

Sure I totally agree the iPhone 5's aesthetic design was sheer laziness, and those bezels look daft these days as does the home button, but from the engineering perspective it's still top dog. They just need to sort the UI out and bring it a bit more up to date, and change how the phone visibly looks.

Just downloaded the latest Android update for my One X ( about 350mb ) and there's now a 'power save' option in the top toolbar thingy. I hope it actually works as I'm fed up of plugging my phone in at every available opportunity for the fear of running out of battery. Things seem a bit smoother in general too.

All smart phone batteries are crap mate

Iterative

I partly agree, I stayed on the 4s. Purely because I'm not a fan of big phones and the phone I have does me fine.

Laughing here. You've inadvertently just categorised yourselves.

iPhone users buy phones for how they look and to be seen with them. Android is about good the phone actually is.

I'd rather my phone worked ace, that's what I'm buying it for. When did you all become plastic snobs? It doesn't smash to bits like a glass iPhone from four inches like.

Upgrade coming up.

Bored of the iPhone now, it's between the HTC One and a Galaxy.

Sell me on either, GOT types.
