realistic transfer improvements

He's a deputy. That's how it should remain. We want to improve by bringing in quality.
You don't have to bring a new player in to improve the quality of the team, why does he have remain a deputy? Look how well he played last year when he did come in for Baines and played regularly, he pretty much hasn't played for ten months so him coming back into the first team will improve our team.

Naismith is a great example of just that. In the pre season many people were saying we needed to sign a new CAM, especially when Barkley went down. Naismith, played there, made the position his own, has played some really good football and has been our best player this season.

Because Pienaar is 32 and we are allowed to say that Oviedo is good but not quite good enough to move us up a level. He's a great little squad player who can fill in a fair few positions but he has limitations.

Perisic is back, scored goals in the international break.

Reid as a center back. Rafael Silva, Number 10 playing for Braga, future David Silva in terms of what he can do with the ball.
Cleverly as a cheap replacement for Osman + Pienaar with regards to a player with good close control and ball retention skills.
May well be in for Bruma again from Galatasaray.

I agree with you that we need a winger, Pienaar isn't getting any younger as you mentioned, Atsu is only a loanee and I think most Blues would agree that Kev is our only top quality winger.

I completely disagree with you on Oviedo though, he was superb for us when he was starting last season, he has what it takes to be a first teamer for us and deserves the chance to try and make a starting position his own. Even if you in your opinion you don't think he's up to it you still need to give players the shot and the end of the day we're not loaded, if there is a player at the club who could improve the squad and that position then you need to give them the chance so we can see if they're up to it or not.

If he can make the left wing his own we then have Garbutt who can cover for Baines instead of Oviedo so we're not going to be lighter on anywhere else because of it.

We can agree to disagree on this like. Why not bring in the quality player to compete with Oviedo and make the position his own?

Didnt know who Perisic was, but after some research-the guy is actually a boss-scores at the right times, something we've been lacking. THe prmanent LW is a good idea too-Stevie P is a bit too old, but how about playing Oviedo there? But Perisic cost Wolfsburg 8 mil-somewhere around 10-13 would do it

Perisic will get the opportunity to show us what's he made of when we play Wolfsburg. Then he will see how good everton are with likes of rom, baines, Coleman macca, Ross etc. etc. and then he will decide that he wants to join everton in jan. Simple really. ;)

GK- Begovic, 1 year left on his contract next summer, we need genuine competition/replacement for Howard, Robles needs to go on loan to get regular game time.

CB's - I think we will need two, if Distin isn't going to play again then one in Jan and one in the summer. I'd go for one in the 24-26 age range and another young player to develop. Van Dijk or Winston Reid would be good options for the older player and one or both of Kortney Hause and Joe Gomez as the younger option.

LW- Perisic would be the perfect Pienaar replacement giving balance to Miralles on the right. GOT's Tadic for 2015.

AM- Cleverly to replace Osman next season is pretty likely and a logical move. Dele Alli to provide cover/ squad depth in Ross's position, might not be necessary depending on the development of Kieron Dowell.

CF- if Kone is permanently broken then I'd like us to have another go at getting Laccina Traore to the club, I've always rated him, his height with pace makes him a unique player.

I don't think we need another specialist RB, Browning should get the game time before moving into the centre, Jonjoe Kenny will be 18 next year and hopefully be ready to step up. We also have Gethin Jones and Arlen Birch who both have youth international caps.

Reid will be sold in January, as I can't see West Ham allowing him to go for nothing in the Summer.

Begovic will cost big money if he is sold any time before January 2016.
