RBL Matchday

Back at it after what feels like an eternity but it could not be a harder game at all! Away to Union is the toughest game any club will face this season and they haven't been beaten there in a year now. Rose goes, understandbly, with the same side that started the Stuttgart game but that first 45 mins was very ropey and I feel like if they play just as defensively risky today they'll get blown apart. Despite the attacking quality at Leipzig they are facing such a well drilled and settled side and at best will come away with a point here - 3 would be amazing. Feel like their wing-backs will get a lot of joy considering how gung-ho Raum is and the best thing would be an early RBL goal forcing Union to push up for the counter. Should be a great game in Kopenick though and might see Bonucci get minutes!

Incredibly tense game so far with both sides completely cancelling each other out and no big chances for either. Olmo needs to get into the game though as he’s had literally about 3 touches at best.

Woooooo Sesko off the mark. Great counter from Xavi, Sesko a little lucky with the dribble but what a finish. Union were just starting to threaten again.

Sesko again and wow what a class goal this is. Amazing link play with Olmo ends in a lobbed header. This team is onto something.

What a brilliant performance that was against a side unbeaten in 24 games at home. Saw a really maturity to not fold under the hostile atmosphere. Top marks from every player.

I would take a flip over a slide, myself.

As an FM addict I feel like I know Sesko personally, but he's an incredible talent. Agree with you that there was some fortune with his first, but his second was (especially in the context) an incredible goal.

Alan Shearer had it right with the celebration really.

Sesko is an amazing talent! I was a little disappointed he didn’t start today but Rose has got it right really with the new guys. 10 new signings but only 3 started today. I’m still expecting the first half of the season to be a rollercoaster though but it’s been really good. In the past you couldn’t drop the likes of Werner when out of form but there are two full XI’s now which is brilliant. I’m excited.
