Bayern just bullying everyone per usual and then their fans get all bothered when a team tries to do something to get ahead because they've done it the right way or some crap. Get in the bin with that.
I think his heart was set on the move to that next level club. Negotiations were tough though with only 10 months left on the deal. €16m is cheap but not much else to do to get rid of him. Personally don't think he's as good as people make out anyway.

He's a tough fit because he's not strictly a defensive midfielder but can't really play as a #10. Takes the right system. Which Bayern probably don't play?
I assume he'll be cover to Goretzka and Kimmich in 4-2-3-1 but he's not very athletic to play there at a CL winning level.
