Hard to see how we don't lose or draw against West ham - i think the pressure will be too great on the team by then and West ham will be looking at us as a relatively easy 3 points for them.
Unbeaten so far and at home to a team who hasn't got a single point on the board yet. And you think they will be looking at this game as a relatively easy 3 points.

words fail me

6/10

We have been reduced to 10 men in our two away games. We have shown resilience in both, and really can consider ourselves unfortunate not to have won.

The all-round aura around the club is much better, and the football we are playing is far better on the whole.

There's definitely frailties that we need to improve on, at both ends of the pitch. But it's a long old season.

We've still got new players to come in, in key roles as well.
Sensible post PT.

I can see some similarities with Roberto's first season in charge.

Draw against newly promoted side in first game.

Manager trying to change our playing style and players struggling to come to terms with the new systems.

Most of our transfer business done late in the window and so we started the season without most fo our new players.

Went the first 6/7 games unbeaten IIRC but a lot of draws included in the results.

Didn't really start showing decent form until the 3-3 home derby game in late November.

Dare I say, our new manager is also showing a little bit of stubbornness with the zonal marking!!

If we have as successful season as Roberto's first, from both a points and a footballing perspective, I'll be well chuffed.

6/10 for me. To be honest, we're not that far away from a 9/10, but letting a couple of leads slip and the obvious set piece frailties mean i'd say it's just an average start really. Lots of positives and reasons to be optimistic, but the next 5/6 games should tell us more about where we are, as we play a couple of better sides and - hopefully - finally get something resembling our first choice team out.

7/10 for me because we have been unlucky against both Bournemouth and Wolves. Could easily be sitting 5th with 10 points with a little more luck.

I will say however with the improvements made to the squad in the summer and no European commitments we really should be aiming to bring home the League Cup this season.

5/10 ....next 5 matches will show us which way we are going .....( WHam H / Arsenal A / Fulham H / Leicester A / Palace H ) ...need 9 points minimum.

Im going to wait till we have played 10 games before i judge the team/manager yet. I find it hard to make any observation at the moment when 3 of the summer signings have not even played yet and also i don't even think we are playing the managers prefered formation yet because of it.

We just spend money and nothing changes. We’re stuck in this rut of nothingness. The only thing that can catapult us to doing anything worthwhile is if Usmanov comes in and we build a 60k stadium. Both very unlikely scenarios.
That's all Premier league football is.

Like most of us I expected/hoped to have more points from our relatively easy start, but I suppose it's just as well to play the weaker sides whilst the team is adjusting to the system, stay unbeaten and be more up to speed when the tricky games come up.

I always see a silver lining

6 for me.

Would like to be perfect but that’s a pain.
Would have liked to beat Bournemouth.
Corners doing my head in.

Marco is handsome though.
Football is easier to watch.
Marco’s press conferences are so fun.
