Well I’ve just had 5 people telling me the DoF sets the footballing philosophy and not the manager, so he should chose the players

All over the place in here

The point is that the manager shouldn't have a veto under the director of football model. It doesn't work if the DOF doesn't have the final say.

Either you have a manager decide on the recruitment or you have the DOF. It can't be both. It doesn't work.

A manager should be appointed that fits whatever the philosophy is.

I’m not sure what ours is tho or if we have one

We have a motto that probably hasn’t been adhered to since about 1987
