Based purely on how they played, rather than how much they earn, what they cost or any expectations

Howard : 6 - inconsistent.

Robles : 6 - poor start, looked nervous, finished well

Coleman : 6 - out of form a lot but showed glimpses now and then

Hibbert -: 6 - did nothing wrong when called on

Jagielka : 8 - shaky start, but excellent for most of the season

Stones : 7 - bags of talent, will be mega boss but still got a bit to learn

Distin : 4 - poor

Alcaraz : 5 - poor. Some decent performances, but never looked comfortable at this level

Baines : 7 - much better than people give him credit for. People are judging him against other better seasons. Would have given him 8 if he could regularly knock a decent corner in

Garbutt : 6 - decent showing for someone without much experience at this level

Oviedo : 5 - rusty when he came back, not really played much

Barry : 6 - some poor games, but he's been better than most people credit him for

McCarthy : 7 - steady performances with occassional bossness

Besic : 6 - OK rather than outstanding

Mirallas : 6 - the odd brilliant moment, but lots of meh ones too.

Osman : 7 - if he could defend and tackle I'd have given him an 8. Sadly he can't.

Naismith : 6 - without his great start to the season he'd have been a 5

Barkley : 5 - ineffective for most of the season

McGeady : 5 - ditto

Lennon : 7 - had many more good games than poor

Lukaku : 7 - His weaknesses are there for all to see, but you can't argue with his goals scored and his obvious strengths

Kone : 4 - Sad to see someone in an Everton shirt stuggling so much

Browning and Galloway - done OK in their little cameos, but not played often enough to get a rating

Pienaar : 6 - showed glimpses of what we've missed

Surprised at the low ratings Oviedo's been getting. When he filled in for Baines around January he didn't put a foot wrong.

Really concerned about the people who gave Besic a higher mark than John Stones? I'm a fan of Besic but don't believe he (or anyone else) has come near to Stonesey's standards?

Howard - 4
Been awful this year. Responsible for many dropped points and a real weak link.
Robles - 7
Took his opportunity well. Very unlucky to get dropped.
Coleman - 7
Solid defender, also chipped in with a handful of goals. Never reached the heights of last season though.
Hibbert - 5
Didn't play badly, didn't play well.
Jagielka - 8
Solid consistent performer. What a goal.
Stones - 8
This guy has it all. Could be one of the world's best in years to come, we really missed him through the Christmas period.
Distin - 4
Played badly in the few games he had. Shouldn't taint an otherwise fantastic Everton career.
Alcaraz - 5
Played well in some games and badly in others. Would have been 6 had it not been for Kiev.
Baines - 6
Solid but very rarely fantastic any more. Doesn't stick out in an average team.
Garbutt - 6
Decent debut season for the youngster. Could make it, but we will see.
Oviedo - 6
Played very little. Unlucky not to score at Old Trafford. We need him fit and ready for next season.
Barry - 6
Had a very poor spell around the new year, however found some form towards the end. Scapegoated sometimes.
McCarthy - 8
Fantastic player. The future of Everton. Thrives when he is allowed to venture forward.
Besic - 7
Had some fantastic games. Had some fairly average ones. Should get more game time next season.
Gibson - 7
Made a real impact in the games he did play. THAT through ball in the Young Boys games. Injured too often.
Mirallas - 7
Had a superb spell where he seemed to carry the team, then he dropped off. Blows hot and cold, but when hot, he can be awesome.
Naismith - 5
Scored a few at the start, but cannot string 2 passes together. Liability.
Barkley - 5
Had an awful second season. Should improve next year as we know he can. The injury on the eve of the season was terrible timing.
Osman - 7
Not the answer to our problems, but adds a bit of guile to our attacking options. Can be useful in cameos.
McGeady - 6
Don't care what anyone says, he is boss at times. At others, less so.
Pienaar - 5
Did he play?
Lennon - 7
Came in and gave us the injection of pace and runs in between the defence we needed. Had a handful of superb performances, winning us the game.
Lukaku - 7
Scored 20 but always seemed like he could do more.
Kone - 6
Can hold the ball up, is strong and is not slow. Not awful, but not enough to scare a defence. Worthy of a place on the bench.
