Rasmus Elm

I've had all I can stands and I can't stands it no more. I needs a Rasmus fix and I need it by the end of the day. No more innuendo or reports from Barlow. Just signature on contract (ink not crayon), picture in the garish away top, with 3 confirming reports on OS, BBC, and Sky, transfer-migraine soothing facts.

I go to sleep each night with such positive transfer thoughts knowing that when I open GOT in the morning, that you, my friends will have summarized the improving transfer sagas being that you are 6 hours ahead of me. Oh, how you have let me down. I had such good vibes about signing Cana and Elm this week. The last two mornings have been such a drag. It is time to mix in a signing for the now, not more youth for the future or development projects.

More frustrating times for us blues when this should be an exciting time of the year. Get your bleeding cheque book out Kenwright. :@

I am getting a feeling this is gonna be a bad window. Season start is not too far away, the squad is away holidaying so what chance have any new players got of bedding in. Not that there will be any one signing.

I think it will be like last year, blow our wad on one player and the club will say Moyes has been watching him for years and at last he has signed.

I got that feeling the minute the window opened but i am hoping i am totally wrong. It dont look great at the minute though.

We have become a joke in the transfer market in the last few seasons.
I haven't got the time or cant be bothered to check, but im pretty sure we are mocked on most other teams forums. :(

Nah i think Hull are probaly getting it really bad right now and they deserve it for wanting Zamora in the first place but for £5m!
Plus City are just ****fest of a football club and Liverpoo signing johnson for £18m means that im quite confident we are not being ****ged too badly b)

So true, but we have to ask the question why. Is it merely lack of money? We finished 5th two season's running, reached two semi-finals and one final in that time yet dont seem attractive enough a club to sign for. I am puzzled.

Honestly i dont even believe we even try to sign any of the players we get linked with.
The club releases statements about possible transfer dealings time after time. Yet, do we ever actually see any proof of that? We very very rarely talk to these mythical targets, nor do other clubs confirm bids from us.
So are we to believe all the players we are supposedly after, are priced too highly? Or every one of the players clubs do not want to lose the players? Or is it because we dont actually bid for players, we just keep pretending we do to keep the fans happy?
In this financial climate, it should be easier to buy players. Teams need the money badly to keep the banks happy. Some clubs would even be happy to let players leave just to reduce their wage bill.
I find it very hard to believe we get knocked back at every club we go to, and that every player rejects us too.

In that case, who have we spoken to or enquired about and why have we seen no signs of new faces arriving? Why also have most others spent yet we are still waiting to bolster a much needed squad? I am starting to believe we will make a panic buy on transfer deadline day.
