As someone who lives near Manchester, I can personally attest to the destructive powers of Rangers fans
They tore that City to pieces
Literal rivers of pish everywhere
Events like that in fact is where the "Hun" nickname comes from
Mistakenly it's attributed as a sectarian slur, but it actually has it roots based in the idea that Rangers supporters are like a rampaging hoard who take over wherever they go, just like Attila's Army
In fact, Celtic supporters also used to be called that name for the very same reason. It's only in really in the post-war years that it's become an exclusive Rangers term. Back in the day, both sides of the Old Firm were known as "Huns", because they were both equally capable of tearing your town apart on a whim
I think that just stands to show why most people outside the fish bowl tend to see the Old Firm as very much two sides of the same coin...
