1. When a keeper storms out of his goal to contest a decision that's a considerable distance away. Reina is horrendous for this.

2. When a team are trying to keep the ball in the corner flag to hold on to a result. I have no problem with this, it's part of the game. They've got themselves in that position, they can do what they like. What really infuriates me is when the referee/linesman blow for a free kick for nothing to prevent a frustrated reckless challenge/because they dont think it's ethical.

3. The FA. I dont think an explanation is needed, but particularly their ineptness with disciplinary procedures and the completely absence of common sense.

4. Fans who cry about player wages. The players are at the top of their profession, people who reach that standard in their most professions are generally paid handsomely. It's a short career and the risks involved to get to the top in football are considerable. Those who have friends/family playing in a professional teams youth team will know what I'm talking about. Monday to Friday, 17:00-21:00, Saturday 09:00-18:00. Goodbye education and social life. There's a ridiculous amount of money involved in the game, it's idealistic to think all this could filter back to the fans so where else should the money go? - If not to the players, you'd suddenly find bribery allegations becoming common. What makes me sad is seeing certain ex-Everton legends having to struggle/work in their old age now because they weren't paid enough in their playing days.

5. Tony Pulis' Cap.

What annoys you most in football?

1.) The complete absence of common sense, throughout all of the authoritative institutions, right down to the referees.

2.) Celebrating with your fans being a punishable offence.

3.) The sky four+city bias of all the media outlets.

4.) Garth Crooks.

Howard did your No.1 yesterday.

1.Players rolling about on the floor after a nothing challenge.

2.Players waving make believe cards trying to get players booked.

3.Getting booked for celebrating with fans.

1) the 'new' offside rule - just go back to the way it was

2) coloured football boots. expand this to include names on the back of players shirts and squad numbers. just [Poor language removed].

3) the champions league. a self interest greed club. go back to the way it was.

4) idiots on phone-ins thinking referees are in a conspiracy against their team. look kopite howard webb is just bad it's not a south yorkshire police revenge mission.

5) jamie carraghers head.

1 - diving (and calling it "simulation").
2 - Sepp Blatter
3 - Ticket allocation going to corporate clients who don't bother going leaving real fans ticketless.

Are you happy to see Saha stroll around the pitch, not even half-arsed of what's going on, to pick up £50,000 each week?

At the moment, the FA and English pundits going mental over the Fifa thing...

If we got the bid would be "fight corruption" or would we just laugh and forget about it? Dummy out of the pram IMO.

Anyway, the FA. The press. Hype of certain player - ie Gareth Bale this season. 2 good games in Europe does not make you in the same league as Messi.

Players staying down when there is obviously nothing wrong with them, and we are forced to put the ball out or the ref blows up, then the player gets up and doesn't even revieve any treatment.

Sepp Blerter.

Players wages.

Sepp Blerter.

Tournaments that we have to release players for in the middle of the season.

Sepp Blerter.

Refs not being questioned on bad decisions following a game.

Sepp Blerter.

Players being in control with 2 years left on a contract.

Oh wait there's one more....DIVING!!

It's the single biggest thing that hold the sport back in America. Americans look at guys like Ronaldo and think "another gay [Poor language removed] soccer player".

1. The current dominance, in England at least, of ex-players as pundits over journalists. Very few of them have anything decent, relevant or indeed interesting to say, and many of them do not appear to have any qualifications for the job at all (that means you, Redknapp). Sky and MOTD are by some distance the worst offenders, which is somewhat mad as Sky also have some of the best coverage (of Spanish football) around.
2. The continuing failure of the football authorities to solve (in the top level at least) nearly every on-field bit of controversy by adopting video replay technology. The game would not be destroyed by allowing the officials to check that they have made the right decision / not missed something.
3. Platini's "fairness" rules, which would lead to anything but fairness.
4. The Champions League.

This for me.

Hard to explain to your friends why this guy on T.V. is acting like he was sniped from the stands.

1) The embarrassing softness of football players, the sport has rapidly fallen away from the manliness threshold.
2) Over anaylsis by people who think you dont have a clue about the game because you did'nt play in the Prem.
3) Greame Souness during the Champions league games, smile once in your measley life.
4) The predictability of the Premier league, you have money you will win the league.
5) The Champions leagues, should be for champions, allowing a mediocre 4th placed team to earn tens of millions and move away from the rest of the league is farcicle. (Arsenal have, Liverpool should have and Spurs could do despite the fact they havn't come close to the Champions for however many years).

I, along with millions of others, where ecstatic when he belted in that FA Cup Final goal.

Exemplifies my point really. If their form falters, they're heavily criticised - it's amazing how quickly fans forget the 15 goals he scored for us last season.

  • Refs not accounting for their decisions post match. Justify yourselves you masonic bastards.
  • People who say 'up top' for the attack. I blame Andy Gray.
  • Kevin Nolan.
  • Football getting dragged into every aspect of life and devaluing it (life, that is): eg local press reports on someone who's been killed referring to them as 'mad Evertonians/Liverpudlians'. They've just been ******* slaughtered, who cares what football team they followed?!
  • Reporters who interview managers post match and are too [Poor language removed] scared to ask them a meaningful question and just feed them half volleys to smack.
