Funes Mori being allowed to leave without being “assessed” properly by Silva and Brands is promising. Proves what many suspected - they’ve had their eye on things for a while and know exactly who needs to go, and I expect they know exactly what we need.

That choice of centre backs would probably be worse than most teams in the Championship have. Let's hope SIlva and Brands realise this and will be adjusting the situation very shortly.

That's why I added the 'given the slightest chance' bit. But also Villa, as an example, paid out £70000 a week in wages to John Terry - I reckon they could afford Holgates wages.

Says it all that he was our best centre back. Anybody suggesting Keane, Jagielka or Williams are better is off their head. Would rather play Schneiderlin at centre back than either of those, and he'd be pathetic back there. We best have players on the verge of joining us, that's all I am saying.

Holgate is our best CB.
