Ramiro Funes Mori steps up recovery from injury as Everton train ahead of Arsenal clash 20 May 2017

Everton defender Ramiro Funes Mori stepped up his recovery from a knee injury this week as Ronald Koeman put his side through their paces ahead of the final match of the season against Arsenal.

Funes Mori was pictured outside training at Finch Farm and ran for the first time since suffering the injury, later tweeting: "What a pleasure to run again."

He later underwent knee surgery and is expected to be fit for pre-season training. Everton face an early Europa League campaign in late July after finishing seventh.
