I have said before, he has most of the attributes to be a good centre back, but, you always have the feeling there is a mistake in there waiting to come out. If he can learn to concentrate for the full 90 minutes he will be very good. He must have a chance with Koeman coaching him, surely.

he starts for possibly the best national team in the world. I understand if some don't want him as first choice because he can be dodgy sometimes, but calls to sell him are ludicrous. We need an actual squad and don't need money.

Always looks a threat at set pieces. We've missed that from a centre back since Lescott

Didn't he get up so high for his headed attempt, such a threat in the opposition's box. Did struggle with the physicality of Rondon yesterday but most defenders usually do. Presuming Kone signs he'll still be our only left footed CB which will really work in his favor, especially when we're playing with three at the back.

I'd expect him to start whenever we play three at the back but I do question whether he'll be our starting choice CB come season's end.
