You could see he was clearly listening well to Jags.. Good captaining and direction helped him I think.

Looks very very good against the high balls from that brief cameo, makes a change to have someone who can dominate at the back in the air which it looks like he could well do, definitely a martinez system defender by a few balls he played and that one run too

He looked confident mate which is half the challenge with a new cb, will see him in the LC game starting i reckon when we will get a much better look at him

The run he made was fantastic. What impressed me more was how he dealt with high balls. Within two minutes of coming on he went in and won a fantastic header clearing the Chelsea player out of the way.
I don't think he's 6 ft 4 as he's made out but he's a fair bit taller than Jagielka and looks to have a good spring. There is a bit of the Vermaalen about him.
