Hmm, just been on Dutch television that Bayern Munich has been in contact with Real Madrid over Wesley Sneijder and Rafael van der Vaart and also want John Heitinga from Atletico Madrid. Looks like Louis van Gaal is going down his Barca route.

It also means that somebody is going to pay them a huge amount for Ribery.

Don't know about that. Looks like Real Madrid wanted rid of van der Vaart directly after Bernd Schuster was fired. Didn't expect them to offload Sneijder though. Don't think Bayern will be hold for ransom. Besides that, Bayern are an extremely wealthy club in Germany and losing the title to Wolfsburg really hurt them. Also the emergence of Hoffenheim with their wealthy owner keeps them on an alert. Maybe Ribery wants assurances from Bayern they strengthen their squad with top players. Most top players love working with van Gaal.

Van der Vaart and Moutinho are different players, I don't see how people can compare them.

Van der Vaart is the more creative player, without a doubt. His only problem is he's hard to accomadate, he only really revels behind the striker. Obviously he can do a job outwide and as an orthodox midfielder but it isn't getting the best out of him.

Moutinho is more of an Everton player though, he'd fit into our system better and is alot closer to what we need.

Have seen quite a lot of him in the Bundesliga when he was with Hamburg he was definately their main threat up front very creative and an excellent dead ball specialist. Would definately be a welcome edition to the squad and might even go some way to rescueing the reputation of dutch footballers at goodison third time lucky perhaps (after Aterveld and Shandy).

Well, with Madrid signing Ronaldo and Kaka, and also rumoured to sign David Silva too, you'd think Van Der Vaart would be lucky to even be on the bench for Madrid, so i reckon we deffo should make a move on him.

I read somewhere that they will buy players and then reduce their squad to 25 players, therefore selling 8 players. Might be worth a shot, but even if we manage to match their price.. will we be able to match his wage demands? :(

Love to have this lad but to be honest, i just cant see it happen. Still, who knows what rabbits Moyes will pull out of his hat during the summer. I would like Wesley Sneijder at Everton but again, i just could not see that happening.
Have to agree..its a non story the silly season is here big time.
