It seems that all those claims last year of wanting to see a system being coached even if it meant some short term pain to move away from defensive park the bus football were absolute rubbish

Either the fan base has no patience for any dip in form whatsoever

Or the fan base does have patience for a dip in form but just won’t abide one from THIS manager

Either way it’s a complete and utter paradox to be calling for a ‘progressive’ manager, and it’s complete an utter hypocrisy to be calling for a return to pragmatic KITAP1 which was scorned last season

Patience for zonal marking lasted about two games. Patience for a movement to possession based, structured, coached football, lasted about two bad results.

The calls for three defensive mids from some people are absolutely hilarious. Immediately ceding any chance of us laying a glove on Liverpool out of fear of them and then bashing the manger for actually having a go (something this forum has wanted for about ten years)

‘We need a manager to do a massive turnaround job’….a few games later ‘why isn’t he doing what we did last season’

Can’t make it up. People wanting Allardyce back. Your petty partisanship is utterly blinding you to logic.

Dip in form? 2 points from 21. Even with a dip in form you'd expect a win every now and again.

not really i did not want three defensive mids at all i eanted a 3 man midfield so it could free dacoure up top more also could provide more space out wide for gray ect. Bit more than a blip now aint it is it no win in 9 now so how long can you let this go on for

There's short term pain and dips in form and then there's our worst form for 22 years.

The defending of him is pathetic and baseless.

Weren't you saying "absolute no chance he's managing Everton after the derby"?

Personally, I think he gets the season if we win one of the next two.
He loses the next two he is a dead man, I'm thinking of how Arsenal versus the other lot and Man U in the last few games have started the games well then faded to defeats. If we take the lead and go all out for a second goal then they don't seem to finish games strongly, surely we can dig in for that win!!
