To be fair even if we won on Sunday and the derby, there would still be a lot of people calling for his head. I think the majority of fans made their decision before a ball was kicked this season.
I think he’s at the point of no return, with a lot of fans.
The board won’t do anything for a good while, not until the fans start making a noise at the games.
I don’t think any amount of noise at the games will have an effect this time. I think that Moshiri has decided that he is throwing no more money at the playing side of the business. As long as Benitez keeps us mid table and safe with little or no outlay, he will be quite safe.

Moshiri really doesn’t give a flying one what the fans think. He showed that with the appointment. He’s not an Evertonian, he’s a businessman, his goal now is Bramley-Moore, balance the books and sell to get his investment and a little bonus profit out of it.

Nailed it

Much the same entitled ego as you yourself showed about other managers over the last few years!
Thats what internet forums are all about and you are a doyen of the genre sir!
Calling for a manager's head after 4 months? Breathtaking amount of entitled BS on show.

BTW, my 'crime', such as it was, was to offer extended backing to a manager, so please dont put me in the same category as the paintbrush mafia.

Ahh take half of a conversation to try and make someone look stupid?

My original reply was to someone who mentioned he can't see us picking up points until the Newcastle game - 8 GAMES FROM NOW. 12 + 8 = 20.

DO YOU NEED A CALCULATOR TOO?

See what 'WE' are up against.
Let's just take each game as it comes. Projecting ahead to 20 games played.

Pfffft!

here's our possession stats for each league game this season...

Now I'm not that bothered about possession, it's not everything. However, there comes a point where you need to be able to have the ball a bit to build any moves, it can't just be hit and hope.

That's really poor. Even the games when we had our full team out.

It's great we got a few results with kick and rush when we had our full team out. But it's very reliant on taking our chances and scoring a few blammos to try and get results.

we've won one game in 9, it's not 'a couple of losses'

he's supposedly wanting to play 4-2-3-1, anyway. I mean, he isn't playing that, it's more a 4-4-1-1
Rangnick is known for his 4-4-2 / 4-2-2-2, but he has also used other formations. The difference between 4-2-3-1 and 4-4-1-1 is of academic interest. 4-2-3-1 often becomes 4-4-1-1. Just like 4-3-3 often turns into 4-5-1. To see which formation the teams use, you have to look at the team's structure when they do not have the ball.

For example. City often defend themselves in a 4-4-2 formation, but when they have the ball they often use 2-3-5 / 3-2-5. This is the system. Mostly the teams follow guidelines, such as e.g. - 1 principle to determine how the structure should be when they press the opponent. Regardless, 4-4-2 / 4-4-1 has been the trend for several years in international football when defending. But I agree, our problem lately is that we have fallen too far back in the field in long periods. That's my main concern.

Yes, as I’ve said, even before the injuries it was, concede possession, concede territory and hoof the ball up to the forwards. Good old kick and rush.

Most goals in football come after 6 or fewer passes, and usually happen right after one of the teams has lost the ball. Rangnick has the following rule, which is supported by research, after winning the ball you have 10 seconds to score goals. And after you have lost the ball, you have 8 seconds to win it back. The entire training methodology of Leipzig is built under these two guidelines.

The passes should go vertically / diagonally, and preferably never in the same direction. They are not very keen on keeping the ball, and see it as beneficial to lose the ball. Because they believe that they then have a greater chance of scoring goals.

They are also not very interested in building up the game with short passes from behind - they rather hit long passes from the goalkeeper against good teams. Crossers from sidelines are also banned because they are considered as potential counterattack balls.

These are the same ideas that Egil Olsen, former Norwegian national team coach, had, but which was ridiculed in England when he coached Wimbledon, and pretty much all the experts. Football goes in circles, and what is modern is often just an old idea that has been dusted off.
