I recall a midweek game away at QPR with JC having a bit of mare.
We're 2-1 down and get a corner and JC trots over to take it right in front of me and my mate Gareth, and we give him the usual support... "Pull yer feckin' finger will yer..." or words to that effect.
JC swings over the corner and I honestly can't remember who, but a blue-shirted hero (**edit, amber shirt, we were away ) buried it for 2-2... and JC turns to us, and snarls something akin to "how about that then chaps?"... only I'm sure it came out as "up yours".
We serenaded him back to the halfway line with "Oh Johnny, Johnny; Johnny, Johnny, Johnny, Johnny Connolly" and he have us a big grin and
Great player on his day.
