Shouting loud is a metaphor, it's a discussion forum, there's no such thing as volume in an audible sense, but there certainly is in a volume of posts sense, and it's hard to get away from this being a forum with a sizable Scouse majority will give it a particular flavour. That's not right or wrong, it's just what it is.

I still can't recall many instances where someone has changed their mind on any topic though, and I probably include myself in that. I'm sure you'll disagree with what I've just said, and coach will come along and like your post. Such is life. Got to be better things to do with our time though I'd have thought.

Feel rude for speaking on behalf of another poster's thoughts but I think Bruce is implying that they believe they're winning because they're shouting loudest, not winning an acutal debate. You're going to stick to your guns over your beliefs and rightly so, nobody is going to change them without dramatic evidence, especially us weirdos on the internet
