Question For Older Evertonians

Got speaking to some Swansea fans in a pub near the ground on Sunday and the topic got around to previous meetings at the Vetch Field. We agreed on the two times we beat them at the Vetch in the early 1980's Division-1, I think it was 3-1 & 3-0.

However, I also recall us playing either a pre-season friendly or maybe a testimonial at the Vetch in the mid to late 1970's. I can still remember the prisoners & warders on the roof of Swansea jail watching the game for free on a beautiful sunny evening. The only other thing I can remember is us equalising late on to secure a 4-4 draw. The Swansea fans said that they couldn't remember this game and they were diehard fans.

I've searched through my old programmes and online but can't find anything.

Does anyone else remember this game?

Sorry no recollection of Swansea everton. Have weird memory of big bob latchford playing for them and Garry Stanley who played for us briefly. Enjoyed my trip to the liberty but missed out on the vetch.

Thanks for the offer mate but I stopped getting programmes regularly a while back. Some of those old ones are ace though.
